Professional Turkish Linguist
Born and raised in Istanbul, Cansu is an experienced linguistics virtuoso specialising in interpreting, translating, subtitling, and foreign language teaching.
Cansu has a bachelor’s degree in French Language & Literature and was previously employed as a school teacher for many years whilst simultaneously working as a self-employed freelancer. She has worked on many high profile projects including subtitling for Turkish television and streaming services such as Digiturk and Netflix.
With proficiency in three languages (Turkish, French, English) and a strong understanding of others (Spanish, German) she has vast experience in many aspects of linguistics for business services, reporting directly to clients and stakeholders. She has gained TESOL and DELF accreditations and is also a fully qualified teacher.
As a professional linguist, Cansu specialises in providing top-quality language translations to clients in need of accurate and efficient multilingual communications. With extensive experience and expertise, she is committed to helping clients overcome language barriers and communicate effectively in a globalised world.
Cansu thrives on new challenges as well as thinking outside the box, bringing positive energy to all projects and meetings whether online or in person. An expert in transcreation and a true polyglot. Services include website translation, ecommerce product descriptions, real estate property listings and contracts and more.
★ Subtiting ★
Subtitler for popular television and film productions. Effective transcreation and background sound captioning to ensure ease of viewer understanding and enjoyment. Proficient understanding of English and French slang and ability to translate direct from audio. Cansu is a popular subtitler for many international television shows and movies shown on Turkish television, including Law & Order (US NBC drama series), The Dr. Oz Show (US talk show), My Friends Tigger and Pooh (Walt Disney kids series), Animal Fight Club (National Geographic), and Hustle (US film). She’s also curated Turkish subtitles for TED talks.

Scripting dubbing texts from audio, curating to fit with actor behaviour and lip synching. Cansu has professionally dubbed many global films for Turkish audiences, such as El Critico (Spanish film), People I Know (US movie), and Salting the Battlefield (British film).
